Join SFGG Summer 7s Rugby!
7s Rugby is the exciting, fast-moving format used in the Olympics. It features a lot of passing and running. SFGG has several alumni who have played for the US National team in 7s including the legendary Danny Barrett and current National Team player Lucas Lacamp.
SFGG’s 7s Rugby Program Preseason will begin in May. Dates and Locations TBA.
Tournaments will be held each Saturday in June and most of July.
Practices in June and July are expected to be on Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Beach Chalet.
On Thursdays in June we will add a social Touch & BBQ session that will include U8s and social players of all ages.
We will be fielding teams in the following age groups:
- U8
- U10
- U12
- Middle School

Rugby Calendar
- Pre-Season from late October through December
- Competitive Season from mid-December through March
- Summer 7s season May through July
- Optional touch sessions mid-week throughout the year.
Includes uniforms, training, world-class coaching, matches at our grass pitch on Treasure Island (the best in NorCal), league and tournament fees, referee fees, post-match meals, community, and a heckuva lot of fun!

SFGG Rugby
San Francisco Golden Gate Rugby was formed in 2001 through the merger of two Northern California clubs, San Francisco RFC and the Golden Gate Rugby Club. SFGGRC was formed with the intent of creating one of the strongest clubs in the country, and through the course of our storied history, we have accomplished that.
SFGG's men's team won USARugby's National Super League title in 2009 and 2011, and the club won USARugby's inaugural National Elite Cup championship in 2013.
