The San Francisco Golden Gate Rugby Club was formed in 2001 via the merger of two Northern California clubs, San Francisco RFC and the Golden Gate Rugby Club.

SFGG has teams ranging from non-contact U-8’s to the Men’s National Rugby Super League team, which won championships in 2009 and 2011.

The club aims to provide structure for players of all ages and abilities to learn and enjoy the game to their highest ability and commitment level, while also providing the platform necessary to develop elite players that compete at the highest level of the sport.

Most importantly, the club aims to provide an environment that promotes camaraderie, sportsmanship and passion for the club and sport of rugby, the fastest growing team sport in the US.

SFGG is tremendously grateful for the club community’s work and ongoing contributions, which continue to help build a tradition to be proud of.
